Exhibition of Titian at the Quirinal Stables
The concert and the Beautiful Palazzo Pitti, the Flora of the Uffizi, the Gozzi Altarpiece of Ancona, the Danae of Capodimonte, the Charles V with the dog and the portrait of the Prado or skinning of Marsyas Kromeriz are just some of the most known by Titian (Pieve di Cadore about 1485 - Venice 1576) which will be exhibited at the Quirinal Stables.
An exhibition designed to ideally conclude the larger project of re-reading of Venetian painting and reflection on the pivotal role that it had in the renewal of Italian and European culture. A path that the Quirinal Stables developed by analyzing the work of the protagonists of modern pictorial revolution - by Antonello da Messina Giovanni Bellini, Tintoretto, Lorenzo Lotto - including Titian's final witness and very high which European artist par excellence.
Visiting the exhibition will be possible to trace the salient features of the unstoppable rise of the great Italian artist. Decade by decade, the career of Titian will be represented at the highest level by emphasizing the masterful sense of color and the evolution of a brushstroke able to go beyond the limits of the imaginary painting.
To accompany the exhibition, the results of scientific analyzes the broad campaign that has affected most of the artist. Carried out by the University Centre for Visual Arts, University of Bergamo, the campaign has provided outstanding results to be able to determine the relationship between works and autograph works and workshop to document fully the technical evolution of Titian, from from his years of training.
